Discipline: Literature – poetry
Region: Los Angeles, CA
MacDowell Fellowships: 2011

Carolie Parker is a poet and visual artist whose work is suggested by the social landscape of Los Angeles, a fairly reckless experiment in rearranging the natural world to serve human needs. Her work has come out in The Denver Quarterly, Now Culture, Trick House, and River Styx Magazine. Recent exhibitions in Los Angeles include solo shows at POST and Carl Berg Gallery and group shows at Edward Cella Art + Architecture and the Armory Center for the Arts.
