Chelsea Hodson is the author of the 2018 essay collection Tonight I'm Someone Else and the chapbook Pity the Animal. Her essays and poetry have been published in Vogue, Hobart, Black Warrior Review, The Lifted Brow, and elsewhere. She is a graduate of the M.F.A. program at Bennington College, and was a PEN Center USA Emerging Voices Fellow. She teaches at Catapult in New York and Mors Tua Vita Mea Workshop in Rome.

While in residence, Chelsea wrote 20,000 words of a new novel that she started on her first day. She also wrote songs on the piano and guitar.

Veltin

Chelsea Hodson worked in the Veltin studio.

Veltin Studio was donated by alumni of the Veltin School, a school for girls in New York with a highly respected visual arts department. As the plaque just outside the entrance attests, this studio was used by poet Edwin Arlington Robinson during most of the 24 summers he spent at MacDowell.
