Diane Banks is an American sculptor and visual artist who specializes in 2- and 3- dimensional design. Banks received degrees from Syracuse University, Elmhurst College, the Art Institute of Chicago, and Washington University. She has received numerous honors and awards from many organizations such as the National Endowment for the Arts Permanent Archive, The Smithsonian in Washington, DC, Crafts National 29, the Zoller Gallery and Penn State University. Banks was also listed in the “Who’s Who of American Women” and her work resides in numerous collections, such as the Renwick Gallery of the National Museum of American Art, the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC, the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC, and she is affiliated with galleries in Scottsdale, AZ, Philadelphia, PA, Cambridge, MA, and Tacoma, WA.
