Edward del Rosario was born in St. Louis, MO. He received his B.F.A. in painting from the University of Kansas and his M.F.A. in painting and printmaking from Rhode Island School of Design. He has exhibited his work on both coasts of the United States as well as the island state of Hawaii. Also Italy. His illustrations have appeared in many publications including The New Yorker, Harper’s, The New York Times, and Le Monde.

While at MacDowell, Edward created a series of drawings for his 2007 solo show at the Richard Heller Gallery in Santa Monica, CA.

Originally a working barn perched atop the namesake hill of Hillcrest Farm, this building was converted to serve the arts in 1956.
