Jacob Kornbluth is the award-winning director of numerous well-known documentaries and feature films. He began his career as a writer and director in the theatre. He was a producer on the TV show, Years of Living Dangerously, which won a primetime Emmy. Three of his films have premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Kornbluth was a fellow at the Sundance Screenwriting and Directing Labs and at MacDowell. He is currently co-director of Inequality Media, a media outlet the produces short videos to explain economic issues, where he has directed more than 100 videos that were viewed more than 250 million times.

Veltin

Jacob Kornbluth worked in the Veltin studio.

Veltin Studio was donated by alumni of the Veltin School, a school for girls in New York with a highly respected visual arts department. As the plaque just outside the entrance attests, this studio was used by poet Edwin Arlington Robinson during most of the 24 summers he spent at MacDowell.
