Jadina Lilien was working on two scripts while at MacDowell. One based on the Native American owned casinos in Connecticut, to be shot as a documentary beginning in December 2002. The second script was based on a D.H. Lawrence novel - The Virgin and the Gypsy.
Her short films have been shown in film festivals in the USA and Europe. The most recent short "Fortune's Fool" was shown at the Denver International Film Festival. A retrospective of all her short films was shown at the Anthology Film Archives in New York City. In addition, she was nominated for a Rockefeller Grant to help produce the documentary.
