Jessica Wynne is an American photographer. Her work has been exhibited at The Whitney Museum of American Art at Champion; The Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland; The Armory Show; Art Basel, among others and she has work in the permanent collections of the Morgan Library & Museum, the Council for the Arts at MIT, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Wynne’s work has been featured in The New York Times, Fortune Magazine, The New Yorker, National Geographic, Scientific American, and many others. She currently lives and works in New York, is a professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and is represented by Edwynn Houk Gallery.

Wynne’s first monograph Do Not Erase, was published by Princeton University Press in June of 2021. Her work is also included in several books: Turn Shake Flip: Celebrate Contemporary Art (Eyestorm Books; 2001) and 25 and Under: Photographers (W.W. Norton & The Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University; 1996).

At MacDowell, she worked on editing photographs of mathematical formulas on chalkboards, for an installation at the Milan Triennale (May 2022), an exhibit curated by the Cartier Foundation.

Nef Studio, the first entirely new studio built after 1937, was donated by esteemed photographer, explorer, author, and MacDowell Fellow Evelyn Steffanson Nef in 1992.
