Margaret Mackprang Mackay (1907-1968) was an American writer. She wrote the novels The Four Fates (1955), Angry Island (1963), and the semi-autobiographical Walian Dust (1941), among others. She also wrote children’s stories and features that appeared in Vogue, The Queen, The New Yorker, Punch, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, Saturday Evening Post, The Times, The Toronto Star and The Sydney Herald.

Given to the residency by the Monday Music Club of Orange, NJ, Monday Music Studio is sited next to an enormous boulder deposited by glaciers thousands of years ago.
