Mark Behm is an American composer specializing in chamber music and solo piano works. Behm studied composition at the Univeristy of Illinois under the guidance of Ben Johnston, Scott Wyatt, Herbert Brün, and Salvatore Martirano. Behm lists his influences to be American composers Charles Ives and Elliot Carter, the Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu, and the European composers Gyorgy Ligeti, Witold Lutoslawski, Roberto Gerhard, and Pierre Boulez.
