Matt Wolf is the director of the documentaries Wild Combination about the avant-garde cellist and disco producer Arthur Russell, and Teenage, a film about the birth of youth culture, based on a book by Jon Savage. He has created documentaries for The New York Times, Sundance Channel, PBS, and many others. Recently, Matt made the experimental film I Remember about the artist and poet Joe Brainard, and he is currently completing a documentary for HBO about the children's book illustrator and Eloise co-creator Hilary Knight.

Given to the residency by the Monday Music Club of Orange, NJ, Monday Music Studio is sited next to an enormous boulder deposited by glaciers thousands of years ago.
