Scott Stossel, a writer and magazine editor from Washington, DC, worked on a book about anxiety. His first book, Sarge: The Life and Times of Sargent Shriver, a biography of the founder of the Peace Corps, was published in 2004. His articles and essays have appeared in The Atlantic, The New Yorker, The New Republic, The New York Times, and elsewhere.
