Tommy Wallach is a Brooklyn-based writer and musician. His debut novel, We All Looked Up, will be published by Simon and Schuster on March 24, 2015, along with a companion album of original songs. The novel has already sold in half a dozen countries, and it was optioned for film by Paramount Pictures. Wallach has also written for McSweeney's, Tin House, Wired, and other magazines, and was signed as a musician to Decca/Universal Records. He says he's always willing to be treated to dinner.

MacDowell

Tommy Wallach worked in the MacDowell studio.

Built in 1912, Pine Studio was renamed MacDowell Studio in 1943 in recognition of support from a group of Edward MacDowell’s music students. It was built as a composers’ studio and the stuccoed walls were intended to be soundproof.
