Yasmine El Rashidi is an Egyptian writer. She is a frequent contributor to The New York Review of Books and a contributing editor to the Middle East arts and culture quarterly journal Bidoun. She worked on a personal history of Cairo and her first novel. A collection of her writings on the Egyptian revolution was published by NYRBooks in 2011.
