Join Wet Ink for the release of Voices from the Killing Jar, Kate Soper's musical invocation of a handful of infamous literary women in all their fitful, deranged, bewitching glory. Written for the Wet Ink Ensemble, Voices brings these characters vividly to life in individual sound worlds concocted from the innumerable sonic possibilities of the seven-member Wet Ink Ensemble. A major work from an important young voice in American music, this album-length composition will be released on Carrier Records in December.
To celebrate the release, the Wet Ink Ensemble will be joined by Zurich-based Ensemble Tzara (performing music by Robert Ashley) and Jacob Sacks, one of the leading young jazz pianists in New York. The $15 admission also covers cost of a CD.
