Zameen Aasman Ka Farq—As far apart as the Earth is from the Sky

Past Fellows Event

MacDowell Fellow Marc Ohrem-Leclef is thrilled to share that he will be opening a solo exhibition of Zameen Aasman Ka Farq—As far apart as the Earth is from the Sky at BredaPhoto's 2022 edition, opening on Sept. 8 in Breda (Netherlands).

This exhibition is curated by Tanvi Mishra (New Delhi) and features over fifty works (photographs, texts, video) of this ongoing body of work.

The 10th edition of BredaPhoto BIennale, titled Theatre of Dreams, showcases more than 60 photographers and artists from 28 different countries from Sept. 8 - Oct. 23.

Marc be in Breda Sept. 7-11, with a public conversation about the work held on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 11.30am.

"Zameen Aasman Ka Farq—As far apart as the Earth is from the Sky—contemplates the affection between Indian men: the holding of hands, interlocking of pinkies, or the intimate leaning into one another. This physical touch offers a window into the complexities of friendship, love, sexuality and queerness. Marc Ohrem-Leclef uses photographs and texts to visualize the many forms love takes on for his collaborators, from the open and socially accepted to the unspoken."
