Donald Byrd has been the artistic director of Spectrum Dance Theater since 2002. Prior to this, he was the artistic director of Donald Byrd/The Group, a critically-acclaimed contemporary dance company based in New York.



Donald Byrd worked in the Adams studio.

Given to the MacDowell Association by Margaret Adams of Chicago, the half-timbered, stuccoed Adams Studio was designed by MacDowell Fellow and architect F. Tolles Chamberlin ca. 1914.
