Edward Porter's short fiction has appeared in Glimmer Train, the Gettysburg Review, the Hudson Review, Colorado Review, Barrelhouse, Catamaran, Best New American Voices, and elsewhere. He is a former Madison Fellow and Stegner Fellow. At MacDowell, he completed revisions on his short story collection The Changing Station as well as finished an essay on mental health and gentrification. He is the recent recipient of a grant from the Elizabeth George Foundation.

The yellow clapboard New Jersey Studio, located on a grassy, sloping site, was funded by the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs and built as an exact replica of Monday Music Studio (1913).
