Eleanor Margolies is a writer of poetry and critical writing on theatre, based in London. Poems have appeared in The Stare's Nest, PN Review, Mslexia, and Modern Poetry in Translation. Her book on how objects are used in theatre, Props, was published in 2016 by Palgrave Macmillan, and other critical writing has been published in the TLS, Performance Research, The Smell Reader, and The Routledge Companion to Puppetry and Material Performance. With illustrator Catherine Vase, she wroteThe Day the Food Ran Out in collaboration with children from three London primary schools.

Eleanor Margolies worked in the New Jersey studio.

The yellow clapboard New Jersey Studio, located on a grassy, sloping site, was funded by the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs and built as an exact replica of Monday Music Studio (1913).
