At MacDowell, Gaelen Hanson began work on a new solo dance, as well as an adaptation of a work by post-modern dance pioneer Deborah Hay. He will be performing the work of Deborah Hay at various West Coast performance venues in the spring of 2007. His recently completed dance film short, Your Lights Are Out Or Burning Badly, continues to screen at film festivals internationally.

Gaelen Hanson worked in the Adams studio.

Given to the MacDowell Association by Margaret Adams of Chicago, the half-timbered, stuccoed Adams Studio was designed by MacDowell Fellow and architect F. Tolles Chamberlin ca. 1914.
