Hui Y. Tsai is an international interdisciplinary artist working in photography, digital illustration, installation, video, and performance. Through repetitive self-deconstruction and re-construction, Hui investigates the physical presence of her body and its relationship with mental/real space. She is interested in how the body operates the spatial practice and how the body’s perception of surroundings is constantly effected by previous experiences.

Mixter

Hui Y. Tsai worked in the Mixter studio.

Built in 1927–1930, the Florence Kilpatrick Mixter Studio was funded by its namesake and designed by the architect F. Winsor, Jr., who also designed MacDowell's original Savidge Library in 1925. Mixter Studio, solidly built of yellow and grey-hued granite, once had sweeping views of Pack Monadnock to the east. The lush forest has now grown…
