Jandy Nelson’s debut novel, The Sky Is Everywhere, and I’ll Give You the Sun have been on multiple best of the year lists including the New York Times, Time, NPR, PW, and the Boston Globe. The novels have sold well over a million copies worldwide and collectively are published in over 60 countries.

I'll Give You the Sun received numerous awards including the Michael L. Printz Medal for Excellence in Young Adult Literature, Bank Street's Josette Frank Award, and a Stonewall Honor. Nelson also wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation of The Sky Is Everywhere, which was produced by A24 and Apple. The movie starred Grace Kaufman, Jason Segel, and Cherry Jones and was a New York Times Critic’s Pick.

Previously a literary agent, Jandy received a B.A. from Cornell and master’s degrees in poetry and children's literature from Brown and VCFA. Her next novel, The Fall Boys and Dizzy in Paradise, will be published worldwide in 2024.

At MacDowell, Nelson finished her upcoming novel When the World Tips Over, which will be published in September 2024 by Penguin/Random House in the U.S. and many publishers worldwide.

The Lodge Annex, a wing on the west side of the men’s dormitory (The Lodge), was completed in 1926.
