Joanne Pottlitzer worked on a play she is developing, Between Hope and Freedom, based on her book-in-process, Symbols of Resistance: The Legacy of Artists under Pinochet, showing the influence of Chilean artists on public opinion and the political process that led Chile back to its traditional democracy in 1990 after seventeen years of military dictatorship.
