Jorge Accame is an Argentinian writer and poet. Also a teacher, much of his work is intended for a youthful audience. He has received numerous awards and recognition for his work, both from his native country and abroad.

At MacDowell, he wrote a play and worked on a novel, part of a tetralogy about four fake poets. During his residence, his play, "Hermanos" (Brothers), achieved two openings in Argentina, in the cities of Jujuy and Santa Fe. His play "Venice" was performed in Barcelona in 2004 and it has been performed in Brazil since 2003.

Mansfield

Jorge Accame worked in the Mansfield studio.

The Helen Coolidge Mansfield Studio was donated by graduates of the Mansfield War Service Classes for Reconstruction Aides. Helen Mansfield helped found the New York MacDowell Club.
