Katie Condon is the author of Praying Naked, winner of the Charles B. Wheeler Poetry Prize. She is an assistant professor of English at Southern Methodist University.

At MacDowell, Condon wrote and revised poems for her in-progress poetry collection, The Great Womb of Beyond. Poems from this project have appeared in such publications as the New Yorker, American Poetry Review, Ploughshares, and the Academy of American Poets anthology 100 Poems that Matter. She also began work on a new collection of poems centered around direct address and apostrophe, tentatively titled Take It from Me.

Katie Condon worked in the Sorosis studio.

Sorosis Studio was funded by the New York Carol Club of Sorosis. The small, masonry studio was designed by F. Winsor, Jr., the architect who also designed Savidge Library (1926) and Mixter Studio (1927).
