Laura Lampton Scott's work has appeared in publications including Hobart, 68 to 05, No Tokens Journal, and Michigan Quarterly Review, among others. Her fiction has appeared in Monkeybicycle, and she's served as an assistant editor on two books in the McSweeney's Voice of Witness series.

While at MacDowell in 2023, she was at work on a storytelling series, Dispatches, co-edited by Peter Orner and forthcoming from McSweeney's in 2024. She is polishing a multi-generational family novel, Speaking the Darkness, and in the early drafts of an essay collection about the reverberations of sexual assault. During her 2014 residency, Lampton Scott completed the second draft of a novel.

The Lodge Annex, a wing on the west side of the men’s dormitory (The Lodge), was completed in 1926.
