Luke Ramsey co-founded the Islands Fold residency, exhibits internationally and works in public art, murals and illustration. His client list includes The Cartoon Network, Patagonia, The BC Children’s Hospital and more. Luke’s paintings have been acquired in collections with The Canadian Embassy in Colombia and The City of Seattle. His collaborative mural with Josh Holinaty won a National Urban Design Medal from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. His book Intelligent Sentient? is published by Drawn & Quarterly, and was nominated for a Doug Wright Award. Luke became The City of Victoria’s first Artist in Residence from 2016-2018. Luke currently lives and works on The Sunshine Coast of BC, Canada.

At MacDowell, Luke continued work on "Finding Joy," a comic book about discovering inner peace. He also worked on abstract drawings for a solo show titled "The Be Kind Be Cause," which will run at Space 1026 in Philadelphia in 2005.

Luke Ramsey worked in the Putnam studio.

The Graphics Studio (as it was originally named) was converted to its present use in 1972–1974 through a grant from the Putnam Foundation, and originally served the property as both a power house and pump house.
