Mary Crow is a poet and translator who has published 11 books and chapbooks. Her work has been published in many literary magazines and anthologies, most recently in The American Poetry Review, Hotel Amerika, New Madrid. Three of her translations of Argentine poet Olga Orozco were recently featured in the online newsletter of the Academy of American Poets. Her awards include Poetry Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Colorado Council on the Arts. She served for 14 years as Poet Laureate of Colorado. At MacDowell, she completed a draft of a new book of poems, tentatively entitled Ruinscapes and also wrote a number of new poems, many of which will become part of this book. Several poems from this manuscript have been published in The American Poetry Review, New Dawn, and Notre Dame Review.

Mansfield

Mary Crow worked in the Mansfield studio.

The Helen Coolidge Mansfield Studio was donated by graduates of the Mansfield War Service Classes for Reconstruction Aides. Helen Mansfield helped found the New York MacDowell Club. The small, shingled frame structure with stone foundation was originally fronted on the west side by a neat white picket fence and gate, a garden, and a stone pathway…
