Matthew Northridge worked on his continuing series The World We Live In, with the hopes of compiling it into a book reminiscent of the 1950s compendium from which it is named. He also worked on a sculpture and installation project.

Matthew Northridge worked in the Cheney studio.
Cheney Studio was given to MacDowell by Mrs. Benjamin P. Cheney and Mrs. Karl Kauffman. Like Barnard Studio, Cheney is a low, broadly massed bungalow. Sited on a steep westward slope, its porches are supported on wooden posts and fieldstone with lattices.
