Mirra Bank is an American director and producer of film, television, and theatre. Bank’s work has premiered at the New York Film Festival, and festivals worldwide, including Toronto, Sundance, London, Los Angeles, the Hamptons, Palm Springs, Amsterdam, Mumbai, Jakarta, Hawaii, Seattle, Chicago, and others. Her theatre works have been commissioned and premiered in the United States and London, her feature documentary Last Dance was short nominated for the Academy Award, and her independent feature Enormous Changes premiered at Sundance and went on to theatrical release. Her most recent film The Only Real Game is on Netflix after being awarded Best Documentary at New York Indian Film Festival and a Directors Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. Bank is a lifetime member of the Actors Studio, a past president of New York Women in Film and Television where she currently serves on the advisory board, and serves on the Board of Directors of the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures.

Cheney Studio was given to MacDowell by Mrs. Benjamin P. Cheney and Mrs. Karl Kauffman. Like Barnard Studio, Cheney is a low, broadly massed bungalow. Sited on a steep westward slope, its porches are supported on wooden posts and fieldstone with lattices.
