Nicholas Muellner worked on his new book of photographs and writing, The Amnesia Pavilions, and a series of photographs based on the tropical exile of a 1930s leftist. His previous book, The Photograph Commands Indifference, was a personal, historical, and philosophical inquiry into the relationship between photographs and monuments. His most recent book, In Most Tides An Island, journeys through shifting tableaux of exile and solitude in the digital age.
