Penny Lane worked on a number of short films. The feature documentary that worked on at MacDowell is called The Pain of Others and premiered at the Rotterdam Film Fetsival in January 2018. Her documentary NUTS! had its world premiere at Sundance in 2016 and went on to play at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Her previous feature documentary Our Nixon is in wide distribution.

Mansfield

Penny Lane worked in the Mansfield studio.

The Helen Coolidge Mansfield Studio was donated by graduates of the Mansfield War Service Classes for Reconstruction Aides. Helen Mansfield helped found the New York MacDowell Club. The small, shingled frame structure with stone foundation was originally fronted on the west side by a neat white picket fence and gate, a garden, and a stone pathway…
