Robin Wasserman is the author of the novels Girls on Fire (which she worked on during her 2015 MacDowell Fellowship) and Mother Daughter Widow Wife, a finalist for the Pen-Faulkner Award. She is currently developing an adaptation of it with Sony Pictures Television.

Her essays and criticism have appeared in Tin House, VQR, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and The New York Times. She has published more than ten novels for children and young adults, and written for several TV shows, including Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

At MacDowell in 2023, Wasserman worked on the first draft of her next novel.

Mansfield

Robin Wasserman worked in the Mansfield studio.

The Helen Coolidge Mansfield Studio was donated by graduates of the Mansfield War Service Classes for Reconstruction Aides. Helen Mansfield helped found the New York MacDowell Club.
