Sharon Pomerantz is a novelist living in Chicago, IL. Her first novel, Rich Boy, was published by TWELVE and won the 2011 National Jewish Book Award for Debut Fiction. Her short stories have been published in a wide variety of literary magazines, most recently The Missouri Review and the Michigan Quarterly Review; and included in Best American Short Stories, and on Selected Shorts. At MacDowell, she worked on a draft of her second novel, What Does She Know?, about a couple who give birth to a child with a rare genetic disease.

Mansfield

Sharon Pomerantz worked in the Mansfield studio.

The Helen Coolidge Mansfield Studio was donated by graduates of the Mansfield War Service Classes for Reconstruction Aides. Helen Mansfield helped found the New York MacDowell Club. The small, shingled frame structure with stone foundation was originally fronted on the west side by a neat white picket fence and gate, a garden, and a stone pathway…
