Fiction writer Sheri Joseph is the author of the novels Where You Can Find Me (Thomas Dunne Books 2013) and Stray (MacAdam/Cage 2007), as well as a cycle of stories, Bear Me Safely Over (Grove/Atlantic 2002). She teaches in the creative writing program of Georgia State University.

She has received a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship and the Grub Street National Book Prize, and other awards. Among her numerous residencies include Yaddo and the Hawthornden International Retreat for Writers.

During her first MacDowell Fellowship, Joseph worked on the opening chapters of a new novel. In 2010, she completed the revision of her third book, The Cloud Forest, which is the recipient of a 2010 NEA grant. In 2023, Joseph completed a chapter and wrote significant parts of several more chapters of a new novel, now reconceived as a cycle of linked stories.
