Suli Holum is a theatre creator/performer whose solo show Chimera premiered at Under the Radar. She collaborated with MacDowell Fellows Dan Hurlin, designer Mimi Lien, and director Lear deBessonet on a new piece of theatre inspired by Hilary Spurling's biography of Pearl Buck.

Funded by Alpha Chi Omega, a national fraternity founded in 1885, Star Studio — built in 1911–1912 — was the first studio given to the residency by an outside organization.
