Susan Jacobs developed her drawing and spatial practice considering the nature of elemental forces and materials. She also worked on an artist's book with 3Ply independent publishing. Susan was supported by the Australia Council for the Arts to research 1960s and 1970s land art sites in southwestern desert regions of the United States in 2012, and her work has been included in the 7th Asia-Pacific Triennial.

Cheney

Susan Jacobs worked in the Cheney studio.

Cheney Studio was given to MacDowell by Mrs. Benjamin P. Cheney and Mrs. Karl Kauffman. Like Barnard Studio, Cheney is a low, broadly massed bungalow. Sited on a steep westward slope, its porches are supported on wooden posts and fieldstone with lattices.
