Vicki Sher, a visual artist and curator, worked on a solo show exhibited in September 2013 at Frosch and Portmann Gallery in the Lower East Side, NYC. She has made the leap from more traditional painting and drawing practices to work that incorporates video and installation. This was her first residency experience.

Vicki Sher worked in the Cheney studio.
Cheney Studio was given to MacDowell by Mrs. Benjamin P. Cheney and Mrs. Karl Kauffman. Like Barnard Studio, Cheney is a low, broadly massed bungalow.
