New Artist Book Crowdsourcing Production Costs

Past Fellows Event

MOURNING is the next artist book of photographs by Lisa Kereszi - large-scale, beautiful, solemn album. Kereszi had reason to remotely visit her family grave (a toppled gravestone) outside of Philadelphia using a hunter’s trail camera every morning and night for about seven months, which became a sort of virtual mourning period, but from afar. To make sense of the chaos all around during a difficult aftermath that led into the pandemic next, she let the thousands of pictures fall into grids, and a publisher with a new, community-based production model saw that what she was doing had power, and made sense as an artist’s book. There is no reading or booksigning scheduled yet, but you can join as a co-publisher by Aug. 1st!
